Jetli

Justin Valles was born in Los Angeles, California but was raised in the small town of Matawan, New Jersey. From as far as he could remember his interest in dance was sparked at a very young age at his cousins family parties when he visited the Philippines. He would observe his aunts, uncles and cousins dancing and socializing while I stood in the corner, tapping his foot away. The first style of dance he learned was breaking, at the age of 7 years old, and was introduced it by an older friend of his known as Tim Paule. From elementary school to high school he wasnt always top- notch at sports (he was the kid who was always picked last at the basketball games) so he would focus on practicing breaking and popping, the style he found while surfing the internet in its 56k days. Since then he moved back to Los Angeles to continue his high school education. He would practice every day in high school but it wasnt until he joined his first crew known as Tang Klang (the same crew which he and Robert Muraine aka Mr. Fantastic had started with) where he met his first mentor, OG Jekle that he really began to focus on popping. It was also around this time that Justin picked up the name Jet Li because many of his friends and people in the dance community had recognized his appearance similar to the martial arts superstar. Since then he has battled and won many competitions across Los Angeles, San Diego and Arizona. It was during this time that he befriended Dumbo, where they would compete against each other in the same competitions. Years later,Dumbo had told him of a group he was trying to put together called Poreotics and asked Justin to join it him. At first he thought the name was kind of dumb, but he had grown to like the names uniqueness. Soon enough the California dance scene and now dancers around the world have experienced the uniqueness of Poreotics and have grown to enjoy the name and the performances of the crew as well.
